Privacy Policy — Information
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy information explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purposes, on which legal basis, how long we store it, to whom we transfer it and what rights you have (Articles 13 and 14 GDPR). This website does not use any tracking, analytics or marketing services and therefore does not display a cookie banner.

Barricadix GmbH
Technologiepark 6, 33100 Paderborn, Germany
Email: info@barricadix.de
Under current law, we are not required to appoint a data protection officer (Section 38 BDSG, German Federal Data Protection Act). Please direct any data protection enquiries to the address given above.
2. Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (servers in Germany/EU). When the pages are accessed, the server automatically processes technical access data in log files.
Data: IP address, date/time, requested URL, referrer URL, user agent (browser/operating system), HTTP status code.
Purpose: delivery of the website, stability and security of operation (including defence against attacks), error analysis.
Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, trouble-free operation).
Retention period: short-term; log files are generally deleted or anonymised after 30 days at the latest — longer only in the event of a specific security incident.
Processor: IONOS SE (Article 28 GDPR), processing in Germany.
3. Contact and demo form
If you use the contact or demo form, the details you enter are processed via our own server and transmitted by email to our own mailbox (info@barricadix.de, email dispatch via IONOS in Germany). No external form service provider is used and no data is transferred to third countries (e.g. the USA).
Data: first and last name, email address, organisation (if provided), subject or role, and the content of your message.
Purpose: handling your enquiry, arranging an appointment and conducting a demo.
Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures taken at your request) and Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (handling and documentation of the communication).
Retention period: until your enquiry has been fully dealt with; beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations or limitation periods require.
Mandatory information: without the details marked as mandatory (including your email address) we cannot process your enquiry (Article 13 (2) (e) GDPR).
4. Cookies
We only use technically necessary cookies. These do not require consent pursuant to Section 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG (German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act); there is therefore no cookie banner. No cookies are used for statistical, analytical or marketing purposes.
NEXT_LOCALE — stores your language selection (German/English) so that the website is displayed in the chosen language. Legal basis: Section 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG. Retention period: up to 12 months or until the next change.
5. Fonts, images and videos
The fonts used are served locally from our own server; there is no retrieval from Google Fonts or other third-party providers and therefore no transmission of your IP address to such services. Images and videos are likewise served directly from our own server (or the IONOS hosting); no external video players or CDNs are embedded.
6. No analytics, no tracking, social media links
We do not use any web analytics, audience measurement, tracking or live chat services and do not embed any social media plugins. Links to external profiles (e.g. LinkedIn) are plain hyperlinks — no data is transmitted to the platform until you actively click the link. The respective platform operator is responsible for the processing that takes place there.
7. Recipients & transfers to third countries
The recipient of your data as a processor (Article 28 GDPR) is IONOS SE (hosting and email dispatch), processing in Germany. No data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA.
8. Retention period (general)
We process personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. Statutory retention obligations and limitation periods for asserting or defending claims are also decisive. Specific periods can be found in sections 2 to 4.
9. Your rights & right to lodge a complaint
You have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and the right to object to processing based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Article 21). To exercise these rights, a message to info@barricadix.de is sufficient.
Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW, State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, email: poststelle@ldi.nrw.de, www.ldi.nrw.de.
10. No automated decision-making
No exclusively automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place.
11. Data security
This website is transmitted in encrypted form via TLS (HTTPS). In addition, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures (including access controls and permission management) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation.
12. Changes to this privacy information
We update this information whenever our website or the legal framework changes (e.g. when new functions or services are introduced). The current version published here applies in each case.
